Opening Day
Wenesday , March 31, 2021 - The United States of America has voyaged through a wicked tornado in the last year or so. Nothing was the same, everything was frantic, we were missing so much. For what looks to be a triumphant victory for our country, we finally are able to patch the final hole in the American people’s lives; Americas Pastime. On April 1st, all jokes aside, we welcome back the peanuts and cracker jacks, the fresh cut grass, the wonderful sound of a baseball hitting the wood on the bat. Although we saw 60 games, postseason baseball, and for the first time since 1988 the Dodgers hoisted the commissioners trophy, baseball just hasn’t felt normal. With New York and Los Angeles leading the charge, flexing their wallets, it’s hard to predict what happened in the nations capitol in 2019 after superstar phenom Bryce Harper signed a mega deal with the Phillies. That being said, teams like the Indians, Rays, White Sox, and Braves with a significantly smaller payroll will definitely look to compete to rain on the big dogs parade. What seems like forever ago is now tomorrow. There is no more wait. Baseball is back! All 162 games of it.
the Cleveland Browns shocked the world
Last season the Cleveland Browns shocked the world, including some fans in Cleveland. After beating the Steelers and clinching their first playoff berth since 2002, the Browns made a statement when they went on to Pittsburgh, without head coach Kevin Stefanski, won a playoff game in convincing fashion against their arch nemesis. Fast forward one week and the entire world is chalking the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship game. That was until there was less 4 minutes in the 4th quarter of that divisional playoff game and the Browns were forced to make a decision on 4th down. We will never know the outcome of that game had Cleveland elected to go for it. They did not. Kevin Stefanski called for the punting unit and the Browns lose 22-17.
