Last season the Cleveland Browns shocked the world, including some fans in Cleveland. After beating the Steelers and clinching their first playoff berth since 2002, the Browns made a statement when they went on to Pittsburgh, without head coach Kevin Stefanski, won a playoff game in convincing fashion against their arch nemesis. Fast forward one week and the entire world is chalking the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship game. That was until there was less 4 minutes in the 4th quarter of that divisional playoff game and the Browns were forced to make a decision on 4th down. We will never know the outcome of that game had Cleveland elected to go for it. They did not. Kevin Stefanski called for the punting unit and the Browns lose 22-17.
Now we fast forward to September 12th of a new season, a COVID free season, a stadium packed season, and the largest season we have ever seen will begin on that day for the Browns. It will be the toughest matchup of the season. But I do not necessarily think that is a bad thing. Patrick Mahomes is 10-0 in September and Andy Reid is the greatest September coach of all time the Chiefs can beat the Browns week 1 and everything will be just fine. What can’t happen is a Chiefs route to victory, a blowout. The Browns, I believe, were given a gift from the NFL. I think week 1 the Browns lose to the chiefs but I also believe it sets the bar high for the entire season.
Now the Browns are 0-1 once again and have a Texans team that literally on has a quarterback on the roster worth mentioning and we don’t even know if Deshaun Watson will be available. Give me Cleveland in the home opener with or without the former Clemson National Champion.
1-1 doesn’t look so bad after losing a tough week 1 matchup to the chiefs and then giving the work to Houston. Now it gets more fun, the browns go against a team trying to find their quarterback. Unless Justin Fields comes in week 1 and looks like Mahomes, I like the Browns again at home.
Ahhhh, what was the best part about high school you ask? Homecoming. The best night of the year where you can get a little outrageous. The 2020 coach of the year, Kevin Stefanski, in week 4 is back in Minnesota and it’s time for him to show them that he should have been their future as head coach. Browns beat Vikings on the road.
I feel like I’m on your good side now. please don’t hate me after this. But I believe the 2021 MVP will be quarterbacking the best team in the AFC west and it’s not the chiefs. It’s Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers. I think Herbert and the bolts are the real deal and the closest roster to Cleveland the AFC has. Cleveland will fly from Minnesota back to Cleveland back to LA within 5-6 days give the home team.
Now that Cleveland is 4-2, they play Arizona and I think the Browns have them circled. This means a lot for the Browns. It’s the showdown of the Oklahoma Studs. JJ Watt was supposed to be in Cleveland, right? Browns beat Arizona however this is one game I could go either way.
Unless Aaron Rodgers is lured in by John Elway the browns beat the Broncos, I think we can all agree on that.
The Cleveland Browns are 6-2 but the season has just begun. Finally, a division game and what better opponent than Pittsburgh. It’s easy to predict a fading Steelers season but with Big Ben and Mike Tomlin you just never know. And Pittsburgh has the Browns on their minds. I don’t think Pittsburgh is scared and I would predict the Steelers to get the Browns on Halloween afternoon.
Alright 6-3 we are looking fabulous but coming off a loss to Pittsburgh sets Joe Burrow up for failure. I believe the browns will devour the Bengal’s in a blowout.
7-3 is solid but you have to finish the job. And as much as everybody does not like the patriots, I do. I also like cam Newton. And if cam can stay under center, I see them in the playoff mix and a win over the browns @ Foxboro.
I think it’s hard to predict coach Stefanski to lose 2 in a row and I think this week favors the Browns over Detroit. Browns take care of business and best Detroit before the 3-week showdown with the Ravens.
It’s no secret the browns and ravens don’t have a very loving history. After art Modell moved the team to Baltimore, and then Cleveland Ravens, or the Baltimore Browns, or whatever you call them won the Super Bowl the city of Cleveland showed resentment to Baltimore. And fitting enough the Browns have a 3-week long date with the Baltimore Ravens separated by a bye week in between the games.
It is important for coach Stefanski to win the game before the bye, that didn’t happen last year. But I think happens this year. And actually, I think the Browns handle business with the Ravens after the bye as well. Maybe it’s bias, maybe it’s a hunch, or maybe the Browns are the best team in the AFC north and this is where Cleveland turns the page on the Ravens.
Your Cleveland Browns are 10-4. The last time the Browns finished the season with 4 losses was 1986. And Cleveland, I think the next time the Browns finish with 4 wins is 2021....
Now the Browns go into cruise control. They take care of business in a revenge game against the Raiders.
Now it’s time to open our presents on Christmas morning. You can ask Santa for all you want and he may deliver. But Kevin Stefanski and the Browns will deliver your best gift of Christmas. A Browns victory over the Packers with or without Rodgers.
I told you the Browns were losing to the Steelers on Halloween. Well, that’s not happening again. The Browns will dominate the Steelers here and coast into the final game of the season where it may not mean anything to Cleveland but it sure as hell won’t mean anything foe the Bengal’s. The Browns finish 13-4 and win the AFC North Division.
